Courier identity verification that stops account renting.

Rented accounts, swapped couriers at pickup, banned workers signing up again. JERIX verifies each courier against a government document when they join, then re-checks them in your app at the moments you choose. The images and biometrics are deleted right after each check.

Four ways a courier account gets abused, and how each one is stopped.

Clearing a courier once is the easy half. The hard half is knowing the same person is still the one doing the job.

Rented and sold courier accounts

A verified account is rented out by the week, or sold to someone who could never pass onboarding. The name on the account and the person on the bike stop matching.

How it is stopped. The account is tied to the person who verified, not to the phone or the password. A re-check in your app is a selfie that has to resolve to that person, so the renter fails it. Moving the account to another phone means verifying again from the start, with the document.

Swapped people at pickup

The courier who was cleared accepts the job. Someone else, a friend or a paid stand-in, shows up at the restaurant or the warehouse.

How it is stopped. Trigger a re-check at shift start, at pickup, or at random. It takes under 10 seconds and needs no passport scan. If the person holding the phone is not the person the account was cleared for, the check does not pass.

Banned workers coming back

A courier removed for theft or violence signs up again with a new email and a new phone number, or moves to the platform next door.

How it is stopped. One person cannot open a second account with you, whatever email or phone they use. Where cross-operator lockout applies, an identity locked out by another operator is refused at onboarding, without disclosing which operator.

Fake identities at onboarding

Someone joins with a forged document or another person's passport, works a few weeks, and disappears with cash or goods.

How it is stopped. A forged or altered passport fails its chip signature, verified offline to the issuing state's root. A stolen passport does not verify for someone else, because the live selfie is matched to the face the state stored on the chip. On iPhone, a selfie injected from a virtual camera or replayed fails the signed capture check.

The passport chip check works the same on iPhone and Android. On iPhone, each capture is also bound to a genuine, unmodified app on real Apple hardware.

How it works, in three steps.

One full check when the courier joins. Short re-checks after that, wherever the risk is.

01Verify at onboarding

The courier scans their passport chip and takes a selfie inside your app. The chip signature is checked against the issuing state, and the selfie is matched to the chip's own photo.

02Re-check when it matters

At shift start, at a high-value pickup, or at random. A re-check is a selfie only, takes under 10 seconds, and has to resolve to the person the account was cleared for.

03Act on a signed answer

Your server receives a signed result: passed or not, and how strong the check was. No name, no ID number, no image. You decide what happens next.

No face database of your fleet.

Fraud is stopped at the check. Right after it, the images and biometrics are deleted.

A courier platform that keeps a photo archive of every worker is holding the next breach. No images or biometrics are retained, so there is no such archive to protect, disclose or lose. Two platforms receive different references for the same courier and cannot match their fleets against each other.

Why storing face data is a liability →

Inside the courier app you already ship.

The check runs inside your app through the React Native or Flutter SDK, so the courier never leaves it or installs a second one. If you prefer a hosted page, it is two server-to-server calls and one URL. You set the minimum strength of check per action, and anything weaker is refused.

Questions courier platforms ask.

Does a courier have to scan their passport at every shift?
No. The passport is scanned once, at onboarding. A re-check at shift start or at pickup is a selfie only and takes under 10 seconds.
What happens when a courier gets a new phone?
They verify again with their document. That is also what stops a rented account from being moved to the renter's own phone: the renter cannot pass a check as the person who was cleared.
Can couriers in Israel verify with an Israeli ID card?
Yes, with photo-based verification: the card is captured and read, and its photo is matched to a live selfie. Where you need chip-backed assurance, set the minimum to a passport check for that action.
Do you keep photos of our couriers?
No images or biometrics are retained. There is no gallery of courier faces at JERIX or at your platform, and two platforms receive different references for the same courier.

Bring your worst case.

A rented account, a stand-in at pickup, a banned courier with a new phone. Twenty minutes, a real passport, and the chip verified offline in front of you.
